I have tattoo in the middle of my forearm and know what you mean about the twisting and unfortunttly(sp) thing the only place you can have it without it twising a lot is further down the arm

I have a japanese snake and Dragon on my back and the artist that did it wasnt Japanese or specalised in Japanese work.
Most tattooist should be able to do japanese work.

Im also 18 and had my 3rd tatt last week, and from when i had my first tatt my mom was thats enough.
Then after my second she said same "thats enough far now"
just had my 3rd done and shes still say ...

I have one on my leg and also forearm.

And they felt about the same having them done, however close to the elbow area hurt and to the side of the arm was sore

had a A4 size tattoo at the brighton convention on my shoulder/back
and both parts of the outline and colouring hurt.

Colouring wasnt to bad to start but after 5 1/2 hours(including ouline)
was g ...
