I haven't seen your tattoo but usually there is always a solution for covering up or editing. The only thing you should keep in mind is choose the best artist you can afford.

I read the only ink that never causes any alllergy problem is black ink. So, stay tribal! My tribal half sleeve healed in 5 days.

There is nothing wrong with this. All depends on the way it is done. Just make sure you choose the best artist you can afford and let him do it artistically.

I have a Polynesian half sleeve, and I would say chest is not more painful than shoulder. The most painful area was the top of the shoulder (line between the neck and the shoulder).
