|
|
I just got my first tattoo a week ago, a vine of flowers on the back of my neck, and about 3 days after getting it, it started to get really red then a day later it turned into what looks to be a rash all around it. Artist said it was normal this time of year and just to use lotion on it now. just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what they did to stop the insane itching and how long it took it to go away. thanks in advance for any help at all |

Just be sure to keep it clean and use a Vitamin A&D ointment on it it will soothe the itch and help it heal quicker and won't hurt the tat, make sure not to put it on too thick just a light layer of the stuff if it bubbles up you have too much on just pat it down with a clean clothe until the beading is gone then leave it alone and your good to go. If you still have that redness and rash after about a week PLEASE go see a doctor you might be allergic to one of the colored inks they used.
There is a good spray out called dragons mist this stuff rocks for keeping your tat's lookin good !!!! |

| great advice-Goth Demon! I had terrible itching a few days after I got my tatoo and I was told to try and avoid scratching it as best as you can. I would just slap it a few times and the itching would stop. |

| When i had got my first tattoo done i had real itching and stuff for a week and i dint know what to do so consulted a doctor. It is always best to take advice from the doctor and dont scratch it or it will become real bad. |

| I think it is very normal to get a rash around your tattoo after getting it made for some days as some skin types are very sensitive. But if the rash stays on for more than a week i think it is advicable to get it tested by the skin specialist. |

| Glad that this information was posted. I am just getting ready to go get my first tattoo and I would have been worried. I have plent of A&D on hand and know that it will be the best thing to use at it heals everything. |
