I'm looking into getting my first tattoo but would like to know what is actually in the ink before I put it in my body. Anyone know what tattoo ink is actually made of? Should I ask the tattoo artist? I'm asuming not all inks are the same. Are some better than others?
I have also heard about a new "removable" ink called Freedom-2. Supposedly, the ink is cosmetic grade pigment encapsulated in micro polymer beads (very similar to acrylic, like used for fake finger nails). This ink can be removed in just one laser treatment in case you decide to remove the tattoo for some reason.
Any info on any of this stuff would be appreciated |

| i think that if you are worried about being able to remove the tattoo you shouldn't get it in the first place. i don't know what the ink is made off |

I agree with you. I thought this was interesting and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.
I'm more interested in what is actually contained in the ink and if there are any systemic effects from toxins etc. Probably not the easiest thing to study. Are certain brands of ink more reputable or time tested? |

| ive read about the new ink and as far as i understand it you can use a laser to remove it but the laser doesnt burn its a special light spectrum that acts on the molocules and very simply dissipates the molocules into the blood and is removed by the bodies system naturally and safely.personally this is only my opinion ,i hope they ban the stuff,to me its like getting a prenuptual agreement before you get married.if youre in youre in forever tattoos or marriage. |

I only use Intenze and that's all I'll have used on myself now also.
Personal preference I guess. |
