| pretty much impossible to answer that without knowing anything about you. tattoos are supposed to be personal, they should mean something special to you. me just saying get a flower may be cool for one person, but someone else might say that is dumb. if you have no idea what to get, don't get anything. its on your body forever, you want something that you will not outgrow. i waited till i was 24 to start getting them because i didn't want something that i thought was cool when i was 17 on me for the rest of my life. think long, and think hard, its not something anyone else can tell you what to get, think for yourself and don't get something because you think its cool on someone else. |

| I just got my first tattoo back in February. I am 28. I wanted one for MANY years, but waited because I wasn't sure what I wanted. I'm glad I did, because mine involves my son's name. 6 years ago, I didn't have a son. My advice is to look at TONS of pictures, and ask yourself what's really important to you? I LOVE horses; my tat is jumping horses framing my son's name. My 2nd one is going to be a Cherokee Rose and an Iris symbolizing GA (where I live now) and TN (where I'll be living in 10 or so years). Where I live is important to me; I've lived in GA all my life, but TN is where I want to finish my life. Good luck to you, it's a tough decision! |

| All I can recomend is NO unless a child sibling or close close person to you names. Its a doom to a relationship to brand a name. Been there done that got a name 13 years ago and broke up about 12 years ago. |

Nobody can answer that question but you, I completely agree with Sleewell. Tat's are personal they should represent yourself and your inner feelings.
I don't mean to be rude, but if you need to ask complete strangers what we think you should get. I suggest you ask yourself a few questions and really thing about the answer, because they are with you for life....
Why am I getting a tattoo? Am I trying to prove something or look cool?
Considering I don't know what I want, should I rush out and get one?
Will I regret it later if I chose the wrong one?
Is this Tattoo an accessory or is it in passion?
Just something to think about before rushing in, please don't take offence. No harm meant. |

"Is this Tattoo an accessory or is it in passion? "
very well put, i was trying to say that but couldn't quite express it that well.
i believe you should only get tattoos if you are truly passionate about them and if you are getting them because they look cool on other people its a shame. if you are truly passionate about the art of tattooing, you wouldn't ask random people what you should get, its your decision not ours.
we are not trying to insult or dissuade you from getting a tattoo, but take some time and actually think about what is important and what you are passionate about in your life. |

Exactly, I currently have me next tat designed, quoted and ready to go, i'm not booked in for another 6 weeks, because this one is rather large. 9.5inches, by 4.5inches it is a CONSTANT thought on my mind. I ask myself everyday if this is what I really want. So far everyday is a HELL YES, DEFINATELY
So good luck, but please don't rush into it |

| I definatly agree with Inklover and Sleewell. I can say that I'm one of those people who got a tattoo at 17 and it didn't set well with me at 24. I got it covered up and made a promise to put a lot more thought into them. In my opinion a tattoo should be for yourself and as the others said a reflection of the owner. |

| I just got my first one the other day. I have wanted one for along time like 6 or seven years. So make sure you want one and do not rush into it. |

"another one of the brightly coloured peeps!"
i really like that line!!
i don't have tattoos but do have an interest in them as they are (can be!) beautiful art. i sometimes wonder whether i would get one...maybe...but i would have to be 100% sure (and then some). |
