I agree with you, I never have called it a tramp stamp but it is a clever name. It just bothers me when there is a girl with a gigantic poorly done tattoo of black, blobby tribal work with some roses in the middle. It just isn't really art to me. I personally like it when people show originality in their tattoo choices and opt for custom work instead of random tattoo flash.

sitting outside morrisons the other day watching the happy couples slagging each other off cause no one had a pound for a trolley and the kids were nearly getting run over i was surprised by just how many women were wearing ink, and cause it was hot they were on show ,but most of the tattoos were small.I think its a shame you dont see more full sleeves or big tatts on the ladies.most of the blokes had the same tribal designs and im not knocking tribal ok please dont misunderstand.Ithought how nice it was . Very Happy

now it seems more people had tatts than didnt.But come on girls please lets see you wearing some big big pieces its nice.

Hi all, I have what you call a tramp stamp on my lower back, I got it done young and hate it, so am seriously thinking of getting it covered/changed/improved. Also have a sun in the middle of my back between my shoulder blades which I absolutely adore, the other one is a bit ***** tho, it's a silly little 'E' on my front left hip which I also got done very young. I am seriously thinking of getting a new one done on my right foot, thinking of some sort of henna style, but would like to incorporate colours, can anyone help me?

I'm joining the bandwagon and probably simply repeating what others have already said. Unique tattoos on women are gorgeous, they simply have better curves and lines to match art work with. However, and this is my humble little opinion, but the 'tramp stamp' as we call it right above the butt, used to be hot, now it's just over played like football players with barb wire around their biceps.
I really like rib pieces on girls, ones that start around the hips and curl up and around the back of the shoulder, I saw a cherry blossom theme once that was hot

I got my first ink this week, and have to say that since having it i feel more comfortable with my body (dare i say sexy)!
i got an original piece, biggish, a dragonfly flying over my hip into appleblossoms on the ribs. Best thing I ever did.

I love tattoos in general, but am too much of a wuss to get one. Plus I can't really decide on what I'd have done. If I ever do decide on a design and find some courage though it's gonna be a tramp stamp one :p I guess at least it wouldn't hurt as much cos I've got a fair bit of insulation there hehe Smile

i am new on this forum and just been reading a few of the post about women and tattoos i am a one of the many females with ink and i have to say i prob dont fit the norm, i have lots of skulls and devils not many "girly" ones and i think guys i meet like them, i also have to say i have a tramp stamp, never heard it called that before and couldn't stop laughing, i have a blue and black tribal piece on my lower back. like i said i ahve lots of others so plenty for a guy to look at while he is getting busy!!!
