| Its always been quiet here, well, that is while I've been a member which hasn't been THAT long. |

Caz - I saw your plea for help, but I have no ink of my own yet (which is why I'm here, incidentally), so didn't feel qualified to comment. I guess it wasn't clear to me in your initial post just what concerned you. I see in a different post that you thought it looked crooked and that your tattooist was willing to fix it up for you. I'm glad to hear that - it is certainly my worst fear that, when I do take the leap, I'll be unhappy with the results... |

Hi guys,
Thanks for your replies. It's great to know there are people out there willing to offer some advice and support.
I go to a guy about an hours bus ride from Blackpool in Fleetwood. He's been going for years and everyone around here uses him. he's been great about my wanting to alter the tattoo and not being too pleased with the placement. he's done two other of my tattoos and i really wouldn't want to go elsewhere. i think that's why it shook me up a bit when this one didn't turn out quite right - you have to trust your tattooist don't you! I went to someone else in Blackpool about 6 years ago for a large tribal on my lower back - it's a good tattoo but the black is a bit patchy in places so i swore i'd only ever use my usual guy again. i really hope he can work his magic on my leg because it's made me very wary of getting anymore and i'm not ready to stop yet!
I've decided to go with adding purple and white daisies to the vine and maybe adding some more vine too - i'll see what he says and post more pics when it's done. I'm more nervous now than when i had my first ten years ago because it has hit home with me that mistakes happen......
There are some good tattooists around here but being a holiday town there are some really terrible ones too. I've seen some awful tats and wouldn't use any of the local studios without a few recommendations first! i think there are meant to be some good ones in Preston though and that's pretty close so yeah, i guess we do have some good ones round here.
Nice talking with you all

By the way, I forgot to say this before. I really can't blame my tattooist - i have to take responsibility for not standing up and checking the placement of the design before he started tattooing. I'm sure you all know better than to make the same mistake as me but if there are any people looking to get their first please take note and double check it's exactly where you want it!!
