My husband of 5 years have finally decided that he would like his first tat! He would like to get his daughters name, but wants it a little different than the standard letters. He would like for her to write her name either on his arm, or on a piece of paper and have that be the stencil. My question is 1. can this be done? and 2. what's the best way to go about it? 3. what would be better, plain black or colored. THANKS!

I saw this being done on Miami Ink where a chap got his son to write his name straight onto his chest and the tattooist tattooed over the writing in my opinon very cool way to do it.

Go to a REPUTABLE tattooist (there are an awful lot of rubbish ones about(if you post the area you live some one may be able to reccomend you a quality artist)) with your husband and your daughter explain your request and they should be quite happy to do this.

With regard to the colour options I would say plain black but that is his choice.

just get her to write directly onto his skin...just before he has the tattoo.
