so I wanna get some new ink done and i'm not very artistic, so heres my thing I have ideas of what I want the tattoo to mean I just don't know how to express that meaning artistically, does that make sense? well anyways, i'll tell you guys my idea and maybe you can help me decide how to express it artistically in a tattoo?? thanks in advance
So, theres this line from this folk song where dude says "it's true it wasnt always so bleak you glow before you burn", now this line has a real significant meaning to be. i've struggled with substance abuse for the last 12 years, althought i've been clean and sober now for two years(well it will be 2 years in june). Anyways the more i'm clean and sober and have left that lifestyle behind me the more I start to forget how horrible my life was, so the line "you glow before you burn" really serves as a reminder that if I ever did do drugs again, true at first it wouldnt be so bad, but eventually I would "burn", so yeah basically I just wanted to get the words "you glow before you burn" tatted on me, but I wanted some kinda picture to go with it, any ideas???
I was thinkin obviously something having to do with fire would make sense, maybe even a phoenix since they died in flames then were reborn in the ashes(which is sorta like what happen to me), but yeah any ideas you guys have to better repersent the meaning I'm trying to express would be awesome, much appreciated |

| yeah a phoenix is a great idea...what a good friend of mine did was find a friend of hers that could draw and they sketched out some lose concept designs for the tattoo artist. You should sit with someone who can sketch while you talk and expand on ideas...ya know? |
