yea i agree with the post above .....
but your 16 and determind i guess lol...
so heres some things to think about,....
a tattoo on your wrist automaticly stuffs up most work/job opportunities
you will have to use a cream 2 times a day and also baby oil
that goes on for about a months.....every day
you cannot use that wrist to do much....dont even stress it for 2 months....
i have 6 stars around my left wrist and i play guitar and im a punk and in punk bands and i kinda wrecked a few stars from violent wrist movements......
also there are many creases along your wrist and you should think long and hard if you want a tattoo there
because those creases turn into wrinkles and loose skin,...not attractive....
well thats my 2 cents.....
if your still want it then give me a hola and ill draw it up for you |

I'm 32, have four tats, waiting to get my fifth, got the first when I was 19. My foremost advice I'd like to give is that you get something that will represent something important to you that will remain important to you for the rest of your life. Placement for me was on my shoulders and back, primarily for employment reasons. At that time, it was still kind of frowned upon for women to have tats. Maybe so now, but not nearly to the extent as it was then. I also chose those areas because there was less pain involved and I could easily conceal or reveal them as needed.
My first tattoo was my husband's initials, the second was the tattoo with my name in it (the one on my avatar), the third was a design I did on my own that had the first initials of everyone in my life who I thought had a hand in changing or fulfilling my life in some way. The last tat I got is my son's name, and the next tat I'm going to get is a Centaur holding a bow and arrow, which will be put next to my son's name. He's a Saggitarius, and instead of just having the arrow symbol put there I wanted the centaur, because that's also a symbol used in relation to the Saggitarius astrological sign.
Make sure you really shop around for a good artist, too. I live in a good place to find excellent artists, so it wasn't as hard for me, but this is something you should be really picky about. Try not to rush it, because you really do want an excellent piece of artwork and not everyone can give that to you. |

NO!
dont go anywhere....
no sun
no water
no stress
NOTHING.....
anyways....why dont you just go to tattoo shop and talk to the artist...
if they are a good artist then they will have a proper convo with you.
if they are crap then they will just try and talk you into getting it....
if they try and talk you into it with bullcrap talk then get up and walk out.....
chances are they will give you a dodgy half assed attempt at a tattoo....
only a pro artist will have a decent convo with their client.

I have to totally agree with Andrew there!
There are some "artists" who are all about the buck and care little of the lifelong commitment you're about to make. A true artist will help to create a piece of work that you BOTH can be proud of - not just with the result but with how you feel about it as well. |

Glasgow
Im going to be brutally honest.
Your 16 it is illegal for you to get tattooed, any one who will tattoo you at your age is clearly rather low on morals this is suggestive that they are only in the tattoo business to make money this suggests that they are not actually very good at tattooing this means you will end up with a ***** tattoo.
You want your name on your lower arm why ? Are you worried you might forget it ? Go the whole hog get your address done as well ! What im getting at is it is hardly the most amazing idea for a tattoo, your talking about permenantly marking a highly visible part of your body your 16 that tatto could be there for 60+ years think long and hard about the design and placement.
You say in one of your posts that you dont want full sleeves most people dont when they go for there first tattoo by the time they have five or six a large amount of people start thinking about sleeves, tastes change.
If you do get this tattoo it will make finding employment more difficult for you than it already is, I work in an office I am not supposed to display my art at work this means in theory no short sleeve t-shirts no shorts in the summer certainly no tattoos below the elbow. My job is not important or particularly well paid however these are the standards expected of the staff in many offices now.
Aftercare the tattoo will require anywhere up to two months to fully heal and for the skin to settle during this time you will have to follow an aftercare routine involving healing creams and mousitirisers (speeeling) the tatttoo will need to be kept out of the sun at all costs and dont go swimming, if you get the tattoo on your wrist golf will be a non starter until it has healed. You will need to put suntan lotion on the tattoo for life or it will fade to some extent. |

That sucks Im a volunteer in a youth organisation and some of the kids there suffer from some of or all of the above symptoms and it is a real pity.
However as you probrably know the right combination of medication can really help to control these condtions I say pester the doctors until you are happy with the medication they have suggested for you. Once that is sorted then try to get a worthwhile job Army and Fire service might be reluctant to employ you however there are plenty of other worthwhile trades out there. |

been there done this.....
heres my expierience....
-spent $10 000 on a construction/carpentry/building/furniture making/furniture design/tiling/roofing/brick laying/concreting course
-got my lip pierced (the first time.....age 15)
-finished the course (age 16)
-wrecked my back (age 16)
- got more piercings (age 17)
-got a great job ($550 a week at sydney airport)
-got my fired for excessive piercings
-got my tattoo
-cant find a job
-all of my qualifications are useless because of my back injury so i cannot do a building trade or use any of my certificates......
now i am broke and cant get any jobs that i need to get.....
becuase of my tattoo.....
i dont regret getting it.... (i have split personality..... hard to explain, but i like it when i am the 'going out, fun, lively, stupid, with freinds, andrew'//....... and when i am the 'depressed, need a job, i am screwwed, thinking, andrew, i dont really like it....)
i really think you should not get it...
if you still have the urge.....
then...
get it on your shoulder or back or somewhere where it will always be hidden/......
well thats my expierience.....sorry if you dont understand that split personality bit lol....its even harder to explain in person....sorry..... i have many problems.... i also have a learning dificulty...another reason i have no real qualifications...and i also believ nsw skools are crap!.... |

m8 i understand the personality thing its the same with me because i was chucked out of primary school high school princes trust all early on at it and i feel like ***** but when people come round im a really hyper funny guybut its too much for people because my tourettes takes the better of me and i dont know what im doing and its impossible to stop myself from behaving the way i do and its not on my lower wrist its starts from the top and goes like this N
E
I
L
so it can be hidden if i wear a long sleeved top and the writing isnt all that big either so it should be ok just hope it all goes as planned i will think hard about it still as i still have about a week left until i get it done |

Your only bl00dy 16 hardly old and wise.
STOP STOP STOP
Wait a couple of years if you still want the same tattoo in the same place i will have a whip round on this forum and pay for it for you, I really think that you are only getting this because you are feeling low your self esteem is down and a bit of you wants to rebel.
I have given you an indepth reason why not to do this above I wont repeat myself but please think again you are to young to get tattooed especailly in such a public part of your body. |
