well i am an artist and good at everything i have ever tried..
i have qualifications in construction and carpentry and furniture design and stuff like that......

i have a lot of time on my hands at the moment,
because no one will hire me, so i cant get a job lol.
so this is a project to keep me occupied till my money runs out and i am forced to sleep in a gutter...
it cant be that hard lol
well and hints, tips, info, thoughts, questions and/or advis is greatly apreciated.
(P.s i have seen many tattoo artistt useing machines they have built themselves...) |

| Sure make one its not Brain surgery, you can use one of 2 mechanical templates both powered by electricity.Electromagnetic coils with a capacitor and spring points to break the circuit or a rotary electric motor with a (round)plate attached to the main shaft and an off center hole for a perpendicularly bent needle bar end,as the engine spins the hole off center will spin around the main axel, stick the bent 1/2 inch of homemade needle bar in that hole. Entrap the business end off the needle bar through a parker pen like tip /tube sructure and it cant help but go up and down.If you are as good as you think you are you can make the power box too with a voltage meter rigged up to a switchable 110v/ 230v transformer. If you dont know much about electricity the stuff you smell cookin will you. |

Damn straight you should give it a go.
If you're a "noob" like myself I'd advise you to get the book The Ultimate Tattoo Guide (search engine should take you to their site) by Dayne Herron before you get any tattoo equipment. Not all tattoo machines are the same!
It's very informative & easy to understand the ins & outs about pretty all you need to know to start off.
Use practice skins rather than your mates while you learn, you don't want some crap tattoos you did or scars going around advertising your work if you want to make a living out of it!
Good luck. |
