What's the word on this stuff? I've heard a few people talk about it and after googling it, I see the same quotes site after site. Is it legit or just a scam? $50 for one tube is kinda crazy, no?
Emla cream seems to be legit, but some are claiming Dr.Numb to be better.
Anyone have experience with this stuff? |

| i know most of those products are lanacain based, and i know most lanacain products at the pharmacy say on them not to apply over punchure wounds so i dont use them. why dont you go all natural? no pain, no gain. right. |

| I have 8 pieces done, and all have been done pain killer free. The reason I am asking is because a friend of mine that owns a shop keeps having customers ask him about this Dr. Numb and we were wondering if anyone out there has real world experience with the stuff. |

Topical anasthetics are almost always a bad idea.
There are only a couple of products out there that can safely be applied on already opened skin.
None of the topicals out there last more than 20-30 minutes. After they wear off the skin will be irritated and much more tender than if it had never been applied in the first place.
They can interfere with the application of the tattoo and tend to complicate the healing process.
Steer clear! The pain is part of getting a tattoo. If it didn't hurt everyone would be tattooed! |
