What's the word on this stuff? I've heard a few people talk about it and after googling it, I see the same quotes site after site. Is it legit or just a scam? $50 for one tube is kinda crazy, no?
Emla cream seems to be legit, but some are claiming Dr.Numb to be better.
Anyone have experience with this stuff? |

| i know most of those products are lanacain based, and i know most lanacain products at the pharmacy say on them not to apply over punchure wounds so i dont use them. why dont you go all natural? no pain, no gain. right. |

| I have 8 pieces done, and all have been done pain killer free. The reason I am asking is because a friend of mine that owns a shop keeps having customers ask him about this Dr. Numb and we were wondering if anyone out there has real world experience with the stuff. |

Topical anasthetics are almost always a bad idea.
There are only a couple of products out there that can safely be applied on already opened skin.
None of the topicals out there last more than 20-30 minutes. After they wear off the skin will be irritated and much more tender than if it had never been applied in the first place.
They can interfere with the application of the tattoo and tend to complicate the healing process.
Steer clear! The pain is part of getting a tattoo. If it didn't hurt everyone would be tattooed! |

From my experience (I'm a tattoo shop owner as well), it was about a year ago when I first heard about Dr. Numb numbing topical anesthesia. I was quite frank about it and actually told my customers that it will affect their tattoo.... well I sorta said it because I didn't carry that particular product.. but as the time move along the volume of asking about Dr numb could not be neglected. So i bought one from one of the UK pharmacy *) online to try some...
Since then we are pushing about on an average 2-3 tubes per day and averaging about 50 tubes a day.. the trick is asking for a business discount, I'm getting the products at half the price...! oh.. for the wholesale pricing, dont go to the uk pharmacy they will tell you the ridiculous price, but i suggest you to contact directly this gentleman, for special pricing request...
cheers.. yeah it works, customers love it.. and no joke, no kidding.. bottom line of it. plus now its paying my bills with the profit LOL |
