| Hey guys I am so happy that I found this website and I must say that I absolutely love it so much..Well here is my question I am a black female and I recetly got a[b:2142e2444f] lower back tattoo [/b:2142e2444f]this is my first and only tattoo my problem is that it is hard to notice, I have seen people darker than I am and their tattoo was more [b:2142e2444f]visible [/b:2142e2444f]so I don't get it..It looks as if it is faded or something? Should I do a touch up at the same tattoo shop I got it done? A friend of mine told me to use bleaching cream over the area where the tattoo is which will make my skin tone ligher and therefore making the tattoo more visible, is this safe to do? I am not sure what to do I just want my tattoo to stand out more because I love tattoos. |

Hi miana789, welcome to the forum!
Maybe is just about choosing the right colours for your tattoo. Have you tried to speak with the artist at the shop you had your tattoo done? They should be able to give a good advice. |

| If you are still comfortable with the shop that you went to then I would seek their advice and see if a touch up would do anything for you. If you are not comfortable with that shop maybe you need to find out who some of your friends with darker complexions are using and getting better results, and seek their artists advice. |

| I would say talk to the artist that did your tattoo, as long as you are comfortable with him/her, of course. I would think that they would be able to give you the best advice since they're the ones that did your tattoo in the first place. |

I only used black ink for my tattoo, which comes out looking green on my skin! i think I will go back to the artist to have a talk with him. |

Thank you so much for your reply! my friends told me to go to a different place to do a touch-up! but I am thinking that I will go back to the same artist because the touch-up will be free and if I got to a different shop they are gonna charge a alot of money! |

| I am glad that you were able to go and get a touch up. Hopefully it will be what you want and be brighter. Did the artist have anything to say that might be helpful to someone else so that they do not end up in the same situation as you? |

Well, the artist said that I might have over moisurized my tattoo when I first did it. He said it causes the color to bleed or in other words fade out.. |
