|

Hi:
I got a foot tattoo a week ago and in the last few days it has been driving me nuts. I got it on the top of my foot.
There is some slight redness around a couple of the pawprints that I had done....is this normal?
It is also driving me insane with the itching. It's not all the time but when it starts it's horrible. Again is this normal?
My first tattoo I had done was on my calf and that didn't itch when it was healing like this one is.
Any suggestions as to what I should do? I am applying the A&D to keep it moist and it is scabbing up a bit.
Thanks for your help |

Hi poodlemom different parts of the body feel different after a tattoo. It really will itch just watch the redness in my opinion thats normal, the foot is very tender. DONT scratch you will ruin your tatt if you do. dont worry unless you think its getting infected then seek medical help but i doubt anything is wrong with the symptoms you describe. let me know how you go on. good luck. |

Thanks a bunch Rowdy. You've made me feel better about it. It still looks the same, the redness isn't getting any worse so I'll hang in there.
I love my tatts!! I promise I won't scratch lol!! |

If you are still getting redness and it is still itching, speak to your tattooist and see what creams they advise to eliviate this, it is natural for certain areas to be more sore and itchy than others and i should imagine the foot is particulary sensitive (never had one there).
generally keep clean and use a recommended cream to keep the area moist to help stop the area from being itchy.
above all try not to scratch although it may be tempting. |
