Hey
I just got a new tattoo recently, my first with colour (I already have two in black). At first it seemed to be healing fine. Just a bit sore which I put down to the fact that it bled a fair bit when I got it (it's on the front of my legs). But then it started getting pretty painful and as I was moisturizing it the scab came loose and underneath it didn't resemble a tattoo, it looked like an open sore. I went to my tattoo place and had them take a look at it and they said that I should stop moisturizing it and let it dry out and scab even though it will take longer to heal and will probably need touching up. It seems to be getting better, the scabs are still pretty big but it's not painful. I was just wondering if anybody else has had this at all and if you had any advice other than what my tattooist said that may help?
Oh, it's the red ink that's caused the reaction... Not so much the yellow. |
