Im wanting a tattoo with the words: Cherish life. but for the life of me, I just can't think of a good picture/design that would work good. Any ideas?

It just depends. Do you mean cherish the essence of life? As in plants, animals, insects; the cornucopia of life on this planet? Or do you mean cherish every moment of you mortal existence, and don't waste any of your time here?

good point. I was actually meaning more like: you only have one life, live it to the fullest. cherish life while you have it, type of thing.

Cherry blossoms represent how beautifull but short life is and we must cherish lifes beauty however short it may be.

Okay, bear with me on this. I'm envisioning in my head a woman (I'm assuming you're a woman) sprinting along a high mountain path barely wider than her foot with a sheer drop on each side. At the end of this path, is a large ornate stone door set into the mountain with a golden light shining from behind it. The background on the left is a beautiful view of the sea, with the sun setting. The right is the mountain face, with moss and wildflowers growing on it.

I tend to favor artistic metaphorical ideas to simple symbolism in my ideas, so this is probably a little more in depth than you were looking for, also I don't know if my description does whats in my mind justice. I can try to sketch it out, but it may be beyond my abilities.

I'll work on it. Give me some time though, its a complicated idea and I'm moving right now, so don't expect it too soon.

I'm with rowdy I think you chose a nice font and highlight the text with Cherry Blossoms would be simple but stand for a lot.

That symbol looks really cool. Does it literally mean carpe diem? or just someone's idea of what it would mean?

I was doing some searchin' on the net and was reading some other forums about carpe diem tattoos. Like another person stated, it'd be cute to get the words tattooed on the back of the neck...that would look really cute. Plus, I just can't find the right picture for "cherish life". Maybe that's because the real and whole beauty of life can't be captured in just one picture.

Thanks everyone for your help!

well i dunno if exactly represents carpe diem but to me i the design represents things in life like the stars, the leaves.the sun rays etc..and the way there all intertwined with each other ill look for a more meaningful design that has more to do with "cherish life"
