Ihave never heard of it but this doesn't make it not true. But just think that a ponsey queen telling you that you can't do that to yourself. I fine that offencive and utter and total crp. If it was true.

Poncey Queen, hmm i think the Royal Family are some what better than the alternative, without getting in to a row about tradition, cost, income to the country and everything else involved in the Royal Family, would you rather have President Brown ?

I think that you will find that the queen didn't say no it was the dopey people of Australia that said no in a refferndrum or how ever it is spelt.
But it will happen oneday and we will be free of it. But I think that no matter what we will alway be a part of the Com Games and kick arse there.
And Australian's are waking up we want out and it has just been said that this new Governer General that we have got will be the last and we will finally be a Rebublic. And not before time.
Just ask Price Charles he said that we should be on our onw now. As the Queen actually has no say in what goes on here noe. Its more of just a head figure thats all.
Oh and I forgot this so I'm adding it now. My son joined the Army and he didn't swear alegence to the Queen he took the oath to protect Australia. But its an individual thing, cause you can do either.
I'm all for a Australian Rebuplic. Sooner the better.

I have a sorry to say here.
I said that you don't have to sign alegence to the queen anymore. I rang the son and he told me that he did still have to do that. But you don't have to swear on the bible.
So I'm sorry for that miss information.
If I'm wrong I will be forth coming and tell you. I rather be truthful than lie even if it was unknowingly or misinformed.
It was still wrong. So I owned up for it.
