I am planning to get a tattoo (my 1st) but I am am having trouble getting a good image to bring with me to the shop. I'd rather bring something close to what I want as I am pretty picky with the design and don't want to pester the shop until I have the design where I am happy with.
However, I am a pretty bad artist (see my attempt below).
Basically what I wanted was a tribal dog (no specific breed) in profile for my upper arm, loosely based on the style of the 2 images of tribal birds I have here. (heavy ink, negative space, etc)
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. All 3 images are hosted on photobucket

Usually shops have alot of tribal flash designs you may want to check that out...
Or talk to someone at a shop and tell them what you want..I always draw up at least 3 different possibilities for people when they come to me with an idea..tho I cant speak for anyone else  |
