Hey guys and gals, whats up? So my real name is Jesse but most people just call me Wildcat (not that I'm all that wild I just used to own a '66 Buick Wildcat and I like the imagery and aesthetics of the nickname) and I'll be 20 at the end of next week. Well so far I only have one tattoo, here it is:
h t t p : / /img229.imageshack.us/img229/8409/mytattooxz0.jpg
(copy and past that with no spaces between the http part. I don't know why but forum is being a bastard and not letting me post a link to the picture)
Its a Sailor Jerry piece. I know it looks like shitty parlor wall flash and for all intents and purposes it is, but to me it has a much deeper meaning. My father had the same tattoo in the same place. He got it on shore leave in Honolulu during Vietnam. My Tattooist said theres a good chance he could have gotten it from Sailor Jerry himself, or at least at his shop. Just a side note, my father passed away about 6 years ago; that was my reason for getting the tattoo.
Before this one, I hadn't planned on getting any other tattoos, but I've gotten addicted. I plan on filling my arms, getting some shoulder pieces, maybe some on the chest too. The last place I'll think of filling up is my sides; legs, feet, hands, neck and face I'm pretty much going to stay away from. I may do my back if theres a piece I really want and don't have room for anywhere else but I lift weights and have a pretty deep spinal ridge and I've never liked the look of off center back tattoos.
I'm a big fan of old school tattoo art, especially Sailor Jerry, which is why I didn't mind having a piece of flash of his done. I also love mythology and mythical creatures, hot rod art, bomber and pin-up art. I also have a real soft spot for roses and well done filigree.
Some of the tattoos I plan on getting, but haven't really decided on one style yet are as follows:
Dragons (one easter and one western)
A Phoenix
More roses
A filigree shoulder/chest piece
A cosmonaut (ask me why and I'll tell you)
I've been thinking of doing one side of my body all in old school, and the other side in more contemporary style.
Non-tattoo related, I'm just finishing up my schooling in auto body and custom building. To say I'm an enthusiast would be putting it mildly. My life basically revolves around cars, music and the arts. I'm not a very art savvy person, in that I couldn't name you three prominent artists past or present without a text-book, I'm simply a prescriber to the "I may not know art but I know what I like" philosophy. I draw, airbrush and play guitar, and while I'm not the most well informed about those things, I can create what I like, and do a fair job at injecting my style into what other people like as well.
Well I guess thats me in a pretty long-winded nutshell. If theres anything else you wanna know, just ask. Oh, and if you have any tattoo suggestions, let me have it, I'm always open to ideas. |

| Hey, ya I know its busy, but thats the way I like it. I'm a man by the way. And the answer about the cosmonaut: I've done my share of LSD and while I don't do it anymore, the experiences and realizations I made on it mean alot to me. So there it is, I want a cosmonoaut because I am one. |
