I had posted this in the general tattoo forum but decided that it's more of a question. So I moved it here:

I know that I want to get a tattoo eventually but I don't know exactly what I'd like to to be. Why? I'm not an artist and it's difficult for me to think of what I like/believe in as an image.

For example, I'm really about health, fitness, eating right, and I love music (specifically concious hip-hop music like Common, Gang Starr, Mos Def, Tupac, etc...). In addition, I heavy believe in/stand for justice.

Although I enjoy working out and that, I don't want to get like a barbell tattooed on me, that seems too simple and it wouldn't fit me. And by the way, I'm not exactly sure on a location but probably either on my upper arm, chest or abdomen, or back.

Do you have any ideas based on what I've written? I heard you can just go to a tattoo place and have an artist draw you something but honestly, I'd rather have any idea myself before going into a studio. Thanks a lot.

Its better to have an idea of what you want before you go into a shop...but honestly its kinda hard to come up with something based on what you wrote

You would need to expand on that a little more before ideas can be given
