thanks for the positive responses people.

i'll try and keep the explanations short. they're both my own designs and are based on projects i have done or am doing as an artists (coz thats what i am). i can hardly draw to save my life, the designs were done with photoshop mainly, but work a lot in the grey areas between art and science. the new one represents an old project where an artificially intelligent robot developed a way of communicating with crickets. the old one is based on some new work i'm doing using the data from deep space probes.

and i'll tell you something else - i really like the process of getting tatted. i kept telling the artist to add a little line here or a little dot there because i didn't want it to finish!!
