Did my first tattoo a couple days ago tribal with a skull and some shading .I apprenticed as a young lad but things didnt work out and i always wanted to try it again so i did .Didnt come out bad read all the info on going to deep and not chewing up the skin .However after about four days of it looking fine all of the sudden the solid black areas looked gouged out and pitted and the areas that werent looked light blueish .Not sure if i went to deep or chewed up skin or didnt let it heal right .I dont think i went to deep because my outline is perfect any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Never go back over a tattoo if it has been more than a several hours. The tattoo is healing and you will tear up the tattoo if you go back in then. Fully healed then you can go back in.

also to add you should be able to tell if your going in to many times as the skin wont take anymore ink and just bleeds more than normal.
