Hello all!
My name is Andrew and I have recently tattoo'd the outer portion of my left arm from my shoulder to almost to my elbow. Here is a picture of it:

A little background of why I chose this design. I am a cancer survivor I had a tumor on my brain stem. I was diagnosed with it back in Nov 2005 and had it removed over thanksgiving. I know! Turkey through a straw for me that year! So I wanted a "tree of life" but I wanted it a little edgy cause thats the kind of guy I am. So my theme for my sleeve is along the idea of "life". I have an idea for the inner part of my arm that goes down to a little past my forearm. My main concern is I am not sure if it will all flow together and look well. Here is my idea: I love science, space and the universe. I am a med student and a PhD student studying molecular and cellular genetics. So for the inside of my arm i was going to go with a detailed rendition of a nebula being created (in its final stages: if you care to see go to and type in V838 and its the largest picture to the right) and than have two strands of DNA come out of the center and criss cross and work their way down my arm a little where they will enter the skin.
Basically that is my idea. I think in its own its be a really cool design or even together with what I have just not really sure how to integrate the two effectively. I am just wondering if its going to flow nicely with what I have and I would like some feed back from others who have full sleeves and such. I do plan eventually fully sleeving my arm. Also if anyone has some good ideas as what else I could do for the rest of my sleeve that will flow with what I already have that would be great. I am always up for some help with great ideas. |
