I got a tattoo about a year ago and two days later my tattoo was red and on fire. If I put anything on it the ink bubbled up and started to fall off. It finally all fell off and just a faint reminder was left.

I tried to have it re-inked last week. It started getting hot again and a week has gone by with out me puting anything on it. All the ink has bubble up and turned into a scab and is beginging to crack off.

Can anyone tell me whats going on. Will I ever be able to get a tattoo ?

I'm not a tattooist so I'm only going by what I have been told here so please don't quote me word for word.
What I was told is that there are different types of ink that can be used in tattooing. And the one that they maybe using on you might not be the right one for you. Ask them if they have been using the same ink and if so could thery try another type of ink on you.
And I have also been told when some people's skin will not retain ink in it and over time it fades. So this could be part of what is going on to.
But please remember that I'm not a tattooist so its all hear say.

Was this your first tattoo?
Have any others that you have done anything like this?
Also was it Red color?
It almost sounds like a reaction to the ink but not sure what you mean by bubble up.
Can you show us a picture?
