HI I am new here.
last year I went to a new tattoo parlor the guy said he was a professional, that he had been tattooing for years, and he apprentice under a well know artist were i live. He even showed me tattoo photos of someone's work?,
Well come to find out all lies, but I did not ask around before I let him tattoo me( big mistake!). So now I have a huge mess on my arm and have no idea on what to do with it. please help?
Thank god the guy closed shop. He told everyone he was moving and opening somewhere else. But i found out he didn't ( more lies) and he is tattooing out of his house now, and still saying the same lies, and doing the same bad work. But thats up to the health department to deal with him. So enough about him. I vented I'm done, now its time to move on.
I just want my tat fixed if possible? And want nothing else to do with that guy. all i can say is its a big dragon / (well it was supposed to be one), on the outside of my upper arm. If anyone knows any good artist that do cover ups let me know.
got the pic in my gallery. (I hope) any suggestion about fixing tattoo? |

if anyone has any ideas on what I can do with this please let me know. I have asked some artist's for help and they say they do not want to touch it. One said maybe if I can find something big enough, and dark enough he may be able to do something, I have know clue on what to do.
can anyone tell me what to may cover this?Or any ideas on what they would do with this mess? |

Hi gotoluvit,
The best advice I can give you is to have the artist you want to do the coverup to work with you and give you ideas of what they think will, and will not, work. I would only go to an artist who is very experienced for this cover-up, as you're going to want them to really work with you to find a design that will both cover it up and for you to get something you want. If you are not getting help from the artists you have already talked to, then I would continue to look for an experienced one who is more willing and able to help you.
I agree that it's probably going to have to be something fairly large and dark to cover it up. Since there are a lot of swirly lines, the first thing that comes to mind for me is incorporating a flower (perhaps a crysanthemum or some curly-leafed flower) over this part, or perhaps something with alot of vines? It's really hard to know without seeing it in person.
Maybe some of the artists on here will have suggestions! |

I think that you might need to get that lightened up a little with a laser treatment before going to see someone about getting that blob covered over.
And I would be doing my best to make sure this person who fouled up your tattoo is put out of work forever.
It's dopes like that one who actually give the good tattooist a bad name. So to get this one out of the great artistic work that shouyld be done is a crime. And you are walking proof of that.
I think if it was on me I know it wouldn't be pretty,(The tattooist). I would even plaquard out the front of his pace and put an add in the local paper with your tattoo telling everyone what it waas supposed to be and it ended up looking like this.
You have to make it hard for this person, don't let it work on others. |

Thanks for your input. I think I am going to be regretting this tattoo for a long time. If I have to go get laser treatments, it is going to cost a fortune. I wish there was some way to make this person pay for having to fix this.
I do not know how this person thinks his work is great! How can he put things like this on someone’s body and have no remorse for what they are doing. But most of all why would anyone open a tattoo parlor if he had little to no experience at all, no apprenticeship, no art background nothing, and just start tattooing? Can someone please tell me why someone would be so malicious? I have seen bad tattoos but they are usually from someone tattooing out of a house. To my understanding threw other artist’s ; is that some people may learn that way, but they do not open a shop until they apprentice or learn the right way to tattoo, or they realize it’s not for them and quit. I would not think some would ever just open and have little to no experience (Am I wrong in thinking this way? )
As I said, I am new so I just have heard, and know a few things about tattooing. The one guy that said he would help told me took look around for a while as this is going to be probably the last shot to get this right, so be prepared to have it forever. That is why I came here in hopes to get some more ideas. I am a guy so flowers mite work, but I would like some other suggestions. Please do not take that the wrong way, as I am willing to take any advice at this point.
I did not mean to have it this long. lol I guess I really need help. lol |

Hey gotoluvit,
This would have to be something large. Tribal comes to mind. |

Sorry it took so long to reply my computer froze and I am not good with fixing them. Anyways long story short lost all my info, email add, login names, everything. I had to make up all new ones. But my pic is still under gotoluvit.
EDsr can you tell me how to cover it with tribal?
Won’t it turn into more off a mess? there is so much black already that after you end up cover all the lines and everything that are so close together in that one area that it would look worse? I do not know how you could make nice tribal lines over it? Can you tell me how it would work?
I do not know if I would want to put a bunch of black lines over that whole are. I like tribal if it has a design with it. I have only seen armband tribal work done on one of my friends.
I'm thinking a reaper but not sure about how the head will fit there. Maybe a grave yard scene, were I wish the (I mean some people were). lol and put lettering around it saying the tat from hell!!!,
On the other hand, maybe I could put like a side view of a lions head with a big mane to cove it?
I'm really not sure who I want to do it. Like I said there is one that said he would if we can find the right piece. He seems to be honest and a great artist, I am still going to have look around though I cannot go through this again!
Any more info please let me know or if you come across any pic on line send them to my mail, thanks all hope to here more suggestions |
