I had my tattoo done a couple of months ago and a couple of weeks ago it seemed to spread out on some of the lines. Is this a blow out?

Im really upset that this has happened as I did everything my tattooer said to do and now its done this. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya. A blowout will often occur if the artist goes too deep at a certain point of the outline process. Or stopping, and starting of long lines, the tip or edges of the design will appear to have a wee blob?
Your tattoo sounds almost like he has outlined in uneven depth? Or, he has double-lined those areas? Thats why your outline will appear fatter or not as fine in some places.
It can be fixed.. Can be relined. Should be no charge to you for that!.
Hope that helps in anyway, Good luck with it. Wink

I dont have little blobs, they are quite big compared to what the tattoo was like before hand. Im pretty hesitant about going back to the same guy to have it fixed as this has happened.

Ill try to post a pic later of it.

Tough to tell from those pic's, but I don't think I would deal with that person again. On the upside! That tattoo wouldn't be too tough for a decent artist to re-work.

Yeah, the pics are a bit bad, but they're the best I can take on my own. LOL.

Im thinking of getting another artist to fix it or cover it up. Maybe get it re-done by the guy that did my friends tattoos

By the look of the pics it's nothing you did wrong. The artist just did a bad job. You can see where he went over and over spots probably to correct a wiggly or bad line. I would never go back to him. Its just a matter of he did not know what he was doing.

Yup. I've got a few wiggly lines as well as the blobs.

Never ever going to him again. I was told he was bad, but lots of my other friends had tattoos from him and they turned out great, so I thought mine would too. Next time im going to the one my friend recommends.

Anyone know any good tattooists for cover ups in South Wales?????
