Hey everyone...

I'm new to everything in relation to body artistry. I don't have tattoos myself, but I'm drawing my very first tatto. Not only that, I'm also saving up cash. Tattoos are not cheap, so if I were to get a sleeve from shoulder to the top of my elbow, how much roughly? I like to go ALL OUT when I do things for the first time.

Also...

I'm very infatuated becoming an artist one day. I've already desgined five of my friend's tattoos. It's really crazy to see your work on someone's body. Many people can already tell that I'll become one one day. I went to the local tattoo parlor to ask for advice, but all they told me was "Watch Miami Ink, and treat it like if it was your bible." They weren't much help. Douchers.

My 20th birthday was on March 31st, and my girlfriend gave me $200 to go buy a beginner's kit. She's really trying to help me go onward with this crazy achievements of mine. I've searched for kits, and there are SO many starter kits to choose from. Where can I get a beginner's kit that doesn't exceed $200, and leave me with extra money to buy more colors and practice skins?

Thanks everyone in advance, my name is Charles and I love the deftones.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

As far as price goes, there is no way for us to give you an idea. Price varies greatly by what you get, country, city, and most importantly by who does it. Remember you get what you pay for, and it's worth paying a little more to get something you are very happy with.

I'll let the artists answer you on the other questions Wink

Hi charles. In all honesty bud. If you are serious about being a tattoo artist? Build yourself up a portfolio, and prove to yourself that you can draw. If you can? start hunting for an apprentice position.
Whoever is selling so called tattoo kits for $200 should be shot!
Good quality tattoo machines cost more than the kit you are seeking.
People seem to think tattooing is easy and will make them rich.........I can tell you it's not.
Please put some thought into not wasting your money on ***** equipment you dont know how to use.
Spend your money on a good tattoo! Confused
