I got my second tattoo about a week ago. Most of the scabbed parts have come off, but of course me being a moron, I decided to pick off a part myself this afternoon. It was a small piece (maybe the size of a grain of rice). So after I picked it off, I realized, crap... now the under part of the tattoo is exposed and could get infected. If this was a normal scab from a cut I wouldn't be worried about picking at it. I'm just nervous if the ink plays any role into it getting infected more easily.
I've been putting soap/sanitizer on it all day to keep the area clean. So I guess the question is, does the ink give it a greater chance of getting infected and is there anything else I should do to prevent infection (besides not picking at it anymore) ? |
