Have any of you gotten a spouses name tattooed on you? Do you wish you hadn't? I have often thought that I should have my husbands name as well as my daughters name put in my tattoo somewhere. Is this a bad idea?

I would say unelss you are really totally commited to each other as far as the spouse goes I would not do it. As far as your child I would do it because your child is always your child no matter what.

I would never do it with my spouses name. I had though about that before and then I though well not only could a divorce happen but what if he were to pass on or something? Then I would have that on me forever and I am not too sure that I could handle looking at it everday.

I'm not too sure about the spouse's name- you never know what could happen. As far as the children's names- I'd say go for it. i have "the meaning" of my son's name in a different language on my chest. My boyfriend has all his kids' names on his arm. I want to get the meaning of my other son's name tattooed on me.

I dont think i would ever do such a thing as today divorce has become such a common thing and i cant think of looking at his name after divorce forever in my body and that too daily. It will be terrible.

When I go to get my tattoo it will have my husband and our daughters name as part of it somehow. I am still trying out some designs. It will be my first tattoo and I want to make sure that it is done tastefully.

I don't think that I'd ever tattoo a spouse's name on me. However, tattooing my daughter's name on me is definitely something that I would do. Unlike a spouse, your child will always be with you and I think that makes a big difference especially considering that I hear it is really difficult to cover up a tattoo once you get it.

I actually have a tattoo with my husband's name. I really like it and have not fears that I will ever need to remove it for any reason. I think that if you have a really good relationship then you should do it.

I would say don't do it, me and my ex had each others names done for valentines when we were 18, and I was completely committed to him, we had two kids together and were together for 10 years, luckily my eldest was named after him, so I just added my other child's name and it was fine. But I definately regret it now.

I haven't done it yet but I think that I would. I might just get a crown done in blue and have my husband's name put there with mine and my duaghter's. I think that it would be really cute, what do you all think?
