| I am looking for some general help on a few things. My fiance and my children and I live in b.f.e indiana and we are currently expecting our third son in July. We are currently looking to relocate but it seems that not many people have an opinion on where would be a good place for an up and coming tattoo artist (whose artwork speaks for itself) and his family should move. I am sure that with this being a friendly tattoo community, someone could lend some advice. Any and all direction in this matter would be appreciated greatly. Please and thank you lots. Laura |

Wow an almost impossible question to answer.
Not knowing if you are looking for big city or rural towns is where to start. Where ever you go just tell him to be ready for a lot of mental anguish.
Getting an apprenticeship these days is almost as hard as hitting the lottery and if he goes the self taught route he will be in for a lot of turmoil. I say find a nice safe happy place for your family to live first then after you are all settled THEN look for the apprenticeship because you are going to need everything else calm and settled. Just first make sure the state or town allows tattooing. |

| im not trying to sound nasty hear or upset any one but if your planing to move to Australia be careful most of the tattooist hear are basically run by bikie gangs they are ether members of a bikie gang or pay protection to a bikie gang. so you get 3 options hear get in, pay up or get some were that is that far away from them to bother you other wise your going to be in for a hard time |

cool what happend to make them stop hassling all the tattoo artist in canada. over hear in oz if you dont get in with with a bikie gang or pay them protection to them you will get your studio smashed up or get 8 shades of living crap kicked out of you. even if you are payig protection the tattooist up the road might start paying a bikie gang more to hassle you and try and get you to close down so he can get your customers. it dog eats dog world hear in Australia
and to all the back yarders in Australia who dont know about what gose on be careful if a tattooist who is involved with bikie gangs is within a 200km radius finds out who and were you are they can organize your fingers to be removed. tattooist hear are a bit touchy about who gets there customers
me I really dont care I think everyone should be able to do what they want to do with in reason and do it without getting hassled |

| I'm from Nh in US. Tattoo artists are popping up all around. Some towns banned them others welcome them. We even do tattoo parties here. It is also a great place to raise a family. Better still sothern nh is less then 45minutes to Boston Ma, Manchester NH, Concord NH the beaches etc. All welcoming tattoo artists. Good luck. |
