| I want to cover a tattoo located on my forearm, starts at my inside part of my wrist and is about 5 in long ( flames) I did it while drunk..big mistake, my question is, is it possible to cover any tattoo, I don't want it removed, just covered with something better. I have yellow, green, dark green, and orange in this tattoo. I want to cover it with possibly just black, greys, ect. |

| Surely it could be covered with something! Have you talked to the artist who you would want to do the cover-up? Why don't you post a photo of it and maybe some of the artists on here can give you some ideas? |

| That's going to be a tough one. Is it the design that you don't like? The color? Or do you just regret it overall? It's actualy not hard to look at IMO. |

| well..it's the color for sure, the design doesn't match, I have a kanji sign and i wanted something added to bring it out. Well, the artist did flames in "hawaiian type colors" so it doesnt look right with the chinese character. If possible i want to keep the kanji and just change the rest, im in the process of trying to show a pic... |

| I seen your pic. Image tags don't work here, but you just click on "Quote" and you can see the link and paste into your browser. |

In Cover-Ups method, old tattoo is replaced by a new tattoo.
Some skilled tattoo artists even specialize in cover-ups and provide excellent results. It will be good to take advice from professional artist.
What about fading your tattoos.
However you have limited options in cover-ups. The biggest disadvantage of this method is that cover-up tattoos can be done only once.
Go google.

mariaryi,
This is not a vendor forum. It would be nice to see you post something other than your vendor intrests.
At least take part in the forum with some content in between plugs. |

Well laser tattoo removal can be used to fade a tattoo so you can have a cover up over it. I read that at my clinic.
Also the last couple of years the lasers have improved with colors that used to be difficult to remove, get some quotes on how many you will need and how much and if it's only part of it you want covered with a different colour they can just laser that bit of the tattoo.
Good luck |
