I'm not certain about New York, but I've gotten tattoos in Oklahoma, Texas and twice in California - and every one of the shops had a minimum of 18 years. Some of them you couldn't even enter the shop until you were 18. I believe it's a nation-wide law, but am not sure. Anyone know?

| yeah, NY is strict about. I work here. No tattoos if ur under 18 with or w/o parents consent. States that I do know that allow parental consent are Ohio, florida, and hawaii. hope this helps |

| well I asked around. If you and your mom are willing to make the trip. Just drive out to Jersey or Conneticut. Hope that helps. |
