| I heard somewhere that prision tats were the frist tattoos that were done? I would have thought that military tats or circius freaks would have been first to have tattoos. |

Prisoners where indeed the first to be tattooed there is currently a project being carried out by certain goverments to convince people otherwise this has included creating several corpses designed to look thousands of years old and tattooing them they then place the corpses in places where random sicentiets will find them.
I know this is true because i heard it somewhere ! |

| Interesting! I was under impressions that tattoos existed long time before. At least this is why we still have all the tribal designs... |

tattoos first were done in 2000bc, the egyptians performed tattoos on their women mostly..
if you look clearly enough you will actually see them performing it, on the heiroglyphs in the tombs.. |

| yeah i seriously doubt that M.E.s would fall for somethign like that. you could SO tell if a mark was made postmordum. and seriously, your putting little faith in the inventiveness of our ancestors. what, they could develop a mathematical system, an alphabet, methods for smelting and pottery and even build mysterious pyramids, some in honor of sirus b (a star which can, to this day, only be seen with the aid of a [b:00ffd8e56b]high[/b:00ffd8e56b] power telescope), but they could not tattoo eachother? lol and also because with the war in iraq and economic retardation as well as executive retardation the most important thing on the government's plate is tattooing old corpses =] |

Your grasp of history is far beyond mine, with regard to the tattooing my previous comments on this thread were made tongue in cheek and purely as as joke should any one believe the dribble i wrote then that is concerning in itself.
Do you have many retarded excutives down your way ? |

| YOURE ALL WRONG!!!!the first tattoo was created around 200,million years ago when a caveman called rrrrrrr was out hunting a creature called a tittymouse.rrrrrwas lucky that night because he stumbled across a tittymouses nest and was laughin at the young uns playin when daddy tittymouse caught him and attacked.IT slashed rrrrs arm with its dirty claws and left a random pattern down rrrrs arm ,not to deep just enough to scar a little. When rrrrr got back to his cave his missis ,whereyoobin, said thats smart on your arm is it a scar from a tattoomouse, she couldnt spoke proper england like wot we dus taday, and that is how the first tribal tattoo was made ,and how tattoos got their name.you so called experts know sod all and i know everyfink. |

| An interesting note is that Oetzi, or the "Iceman" (5,000 year old man) which was found frozen in the Italian Alps in the early 90s was found covered with different tattoos on his back. There are various theories about why this is but typically most people believe it was part of a "tribal quest" of sorts from boy to manhood. |

My goodness. Im a really nice guy, but I really have to ask you guys on here that are saying some of this stuff......"Are you serious?"
Get in the game! If you are going to join a tattoo forum, please know something about tattoos and I really hope you ppl do not have tattoos. And if you do, you prob don't have any meaning behind them. WOW!! |

| There are a lot of people on this forum that are just getting into Tattoos and are asking questions to learn more about Tattoos. They are new to the whole process, which most will say in their introductions. As for the meaning behind Tattoos, just as in other forum posts on this site, not all tattoos need to have a meaning behind them. All of mine do, but not everyone needs a meaning behund it to get one. |

Wow.
You sure are abrasive.
Did you join this community to pick arguments with others? So many of your posts sound like pathetic cries for attention from a snotty little child.
You have the personality of a bag of fish on a hot day so far. (It stinks!)

I hate to be rude (actually, no, I don't) but whoever posted this, I have a question.
Have you ever heard of or seen the Discovery Channel or National Geographic, TLC, etc, etc. You can't swing a dead cat around those channels without hitting a show about tattoos (just an expression, I don't advocate swinging dead cats. Or live ones.)
Tatoos are pretty much as old as the human race, long before the concept of a "prison" was even thought of. |
