I guess the aloe vera has things in it like alcohol that can irritate it.

I thought Aloe Vera was from that plant that you put on cuts, like a polysporin type thing.

No polysporin and no Aloe Vera. Why not just use what the artist that done the work tells you to use? After all, he/she is the one that's going to have to deal with it if it needs touched up. Even though you paid for it...... You do at the very least owe it to the artist to go with the aftercare that he/she has recomended untill it's healed. Forget what what your freinds and anyone else has to say and just do what the artist who done the work tells you to do. You did trust this person enough to let them tattoo you, didn't you?

word up ! ^^^ what he said and never use aloe , it is for cuts .a&d only right after the tat , for 2-3 hrs, then wash it off and start the after care that the artist told u too, and if he had no instructions for u ,dont fet anymore tats from him/her. |

I've been tattooing for almost 15 years so I think I know what I am talking about. The BEST aftercare product to use for your tattoos is aquaphor. Its unscented, uncolored and not petrolem based. Apply to skin 3-5 times a day after gently washing and patting dry.
