|
|
Hi guys,
Just joined the forum and here comes a question that I've had on my mind a while. How are tattoos counted? Is each separate sitting counted as one or just the whole finished article? That leads to the next question, When a tattoo is continued with a new piece of art does it all still count as one tattoo? And my first guess on touching up is that it doesn't count as a new tattoo does it?
thanks again for any input

I think that when the thing that you went in for to be tattooed is completed is when that is one tattoo.
I will be doing a multipable sitting for my next one and once its finished then it is a tattoo and what I class as one tattoo. |

| So that would mean I've got either two or five(soon to be 6) tattoos depending on how I count them:) |

| I would say it's the complete piece not the sittings. For instance an arm band is one but if you turn it into a sleeve it's now part of your arm sleeve. At least that's how I think of it. |

That is why i knwo some, and I have become one, that just say how many hours they have been under. That is a truer number.
Some people have had 1 back piece that took 40 hours. So do they say I had one?
I have 75 hrs...6 pieces, but four are now appearing as one because they have been blended..2 of those pieces within that one have been redone from b/w to color.
So would I have 3, or 6 or 8? I have 75 hours in!
Take care |

Okay, to take this one step further:
If you get a tattoo, then get a cover-up tattoo...is that now one tattoo, or two? (My thought is still one, since the finished product is one). |

| when you start getting tattoos you can say oh I have one on my arm, one on my forearm, one on my back....and so on. After a while when you have a full back piece, two sleeves, and what not, you don't count tattoos. If someone actually asks you you just say, well I got my back done, my ribs, both arms......ya know? Don't try to hard to keep track, just get them when you can, if your the type to get lots of tattoos over the years, you will go mental trying to count, relax and embrace the ink. |
