whats up guys. im new to the tattooing world. i bought Hildbrandt tattoo machine, their website is:
tattoomachineequipment.com/Tattoo%20Kit.htm
my question is what do you think the diffrence between this machine and mickey sharpz machines are? if i was going to buy a sharpz, i would probly buy a hybred, liner and shader in one, 225$... and what about the power supply? would the one i have from ebay kit work with the sharpz? and is there some way i could buy a sharpz machine without owning a tattoo shop? i just need something that would be good to move from grapefruits and synthetic skin to my legs..
thanks guys

| just work with the one you got for now and get used to it, i spent over £200 on a special edition machine and it broke halfway through its first tattoo, the saying 'you get what you pay for' isnt always true |

| Well you do get what you pay for. And Micky sharpz makes some great machines. Most of my machines are from them. Also, those of you who think the hybrid is a dual task machine you are wrong. Not completely wrong but in order to switch back and forth you'd have to know what you're doing and there's springs and air and point gap adjustments that must be made. Hybrids are great machines tho, I usually set them up as shaders or colorers. I find that they are also good for beginners. |

I have a couple of the Hildbrandt machines and I don't reall like them a whole lot, but they do work. I too have Micky Sharpz, Paul Rogers and Little Vic's(Not very well known at all.)
Sadly, tattoo machines are one of those things that really do get what you pay for.
A freind of mine is now only using Neuma machines and I'm kind of thinking of making the change also. |

| Micky Sharpz machines should almost last you a life time if looked after properly had an old one given to me in my first year of tattooing it was about 5 or 6 years old when I got it and I used for about another 2 before swaping it for a tattoo, something I really regret now ( not the tattoo I just wish I still had my machine ) |

| Mickysharpz is the best. Its like the machine chooses the owner. I could never get rid of mines. Its like after you get her tuned the way you like, she becomes an extension of your hand. When you guys get more experienced you'll realize the importance to have a machine that provides feedback. Then you'll be able to focus on the art and not have to worry about scarring anyone. So if you find a machine that you like, hold onto it. |

I couldn't agree with you more on this tattoopony. I was fortunate enough to get one of the limited edition bronze cast microdial liners. I got machine #2344 out of a run of 2500. I'm happy with it and sometimes just sit and stare at it.
I love this liner. |
