| I took wellabutrin "spelling” I quit 7 years ago the day after smoking two packs of Newports. I haven’t had one since. That was my 5th try though I think its more persistence then anything. I think you really have to want to. I did gain weight that I still have some of. |

| We took these tablet called Ziban. But we only took then for one week and that was the end of smoking and that was just over 5 years ago now. But I really think half of quitting is in your mind. If your mind isn't ready to quit you will take it up again. So you have to be ready to quit and it will be easier then. |

Ok i will share my secret with you and be serious foe once in my life. If you count the hours since not having a fag it encourages you not to light one up because you have to start counting from the begining again. It really works ask my better half magi. She gave up 6 years ago just by counting the hours .Good luck and keep us posted. |

nothing beats will power having made the decision to stop. its a mental thing - as soon as you've had your last cigarette don't think of yourself as a smoker who is trying to give up but think of yourself as a non smoker. nicotine patches and stuff may help with the cravings but they'll never stop you having another cigarette if you really want one.
i also found it useful to give up when i had a really bad cold, i didn't feel like smoking anyway for a few days so it gave me a bit of a head start. before you know it the first week is over and you're flying. |
