Not quite sure where to put this post so ill try here.
Why do we never hear any adverts on the radio for your local tattoo studio ,after all here in staffordshire we have adverts for dating services and the local gentlemans club , or if you like ,strip club /Now if you can advertise your local strip joint on radio why cant we have some good adverts for good studios.I dont know about you but it seems the problem a lot of people have is not which design to get but who to get to do the tattoo .;.I realise if you are a well known good tattooist with a thriving shop you will probably be booking four or five months in advance and may not feel the need to advertise but how do first timers find you if they dont know anyone?????.come on you artists out there let me know the possible ins and outs of radio adverts good or bad id like to know. |

They never used to advertise my local tattoo studio...they said it wouldnt be good for their listeners ..
then about ten years later they have allowed the loacal peircing and tattoo studio to advertise..
However my tattooist doesnt need to advertise, as he is so busy, people come from far and wide, its word and mouth... |

| I ran some radio ads at my last studio on the local hard rock station. They went well, I definitely saw an increase in business and the ads did pay for themselves. I ran them fairly late so they were not that expensive and simply touted how clean and professional we were and the vast selection of art to choose from custom designs and so on. It was a 30 second ad but it worked out well for me. |
