|
|
Hi everyone! I just found this site while chasing up information on tattooing, so I thought I would sign up and check things out.
At 34 years old and wanting a tattoo since I was a kid, I'm finally booked with a studio for October for a 3-4 hour outline session, to get my first piece done.
It's a custom design which I've spent close to 3 years designing but I finally settled on a design. Lame, I know
Anyway, Just saying hi! |

Welcome to the group!
Wow! busy shop if you have to wait till Oct. !!!!!! anyway congrats! I will tell you ink keeps you young!
What did you finally deside on? can you describe it?
Nothing lame about it at all. I like to see people take the time to make sure of what they want |

Yeah the artist is well known in the circles I hear! I could have got it done in September but pushed it back due to family commitments.
In a nutshell it's a black flaming horse smashing through a blue-hued cross, with an angel flying overhead helping rope the horse in. The horse will be branded with a bio-hazard symbol on its rump. The bio-hazard is because a few close friends are all tattooing the symbol to show the bond, so it's a "must have".
The design is for my left side of my chest. I want one of the angel wings to go over my shoulder to be visible from behind.
It sounds very religious, which some friends find humorous, since I am not religious in nature. Spiritual yes, but not religious as such.
And one of my inked friends thinks I am crazy going for something like that first time around and keeps telling me I should do something small...but I've wanted that horse on my chest for over 6 years "in concept" and started seriously thinking about getting the tattoo 3 years ago, so am finally going for it!!
Anyways I'm rambling now
Cheers mate,
Andy |

BAH! Silly to just get a small tattoo because it's your first.
Don't worry about the size you don't have to get it all done in one sitting. You can do the outline then come back in a few weeks to finish it. or even take 2 or 3 sittings to finish it! I know some with back pecies that have taken years to finish! I got one that took 3 sittings to finish.
Sounds good go for it! |

| Thanks mate! I think my friends are just enjoying playing with my lack of experience more than anything. Speaking to them again last night a lot of them said the same and I would be fine. And they think it's a great idea as far as the design goes too! |
