Would you rather have a man or woman do your tattoos? For me I think that I would rather have a man. I think that since I am afraid that I would be less likely to cry in front of a guy if it is really painful. I guess it really doesn't matter overall as long as they are a good artist.

It really doesn't matter to me. I like either as long as they can do the artwork the way that I want it. I am looking at designing my own tattoo so I want and artist that understands it.

It doesn't matter to me as long as they can do great art. Although I have only experienced a man doing my tattoos. But I would be open to the idea of having a woman tattoo me.

I don't think that it should matter as long as the artist is really good at what they do. I tend to look at the art and not the artist anyway. I mean what do you see when you see a tattoo... You can't see the person I don't think LOL

For me it depends on where I would be getting the tattoo. If it is somewhere private I would rather have a man as I think it is more natural for them to be in those areas, a woman may arouse me too much! Embarassed

I really don't care to be honest. As long as they are good and know what they are doing I would go with anyone. I do have a requirement that they have tattoos though. I think that it is dumb for an artist not to have work done on themself.

I would rather have a man. I am just much more comfortable with men in general so I think that I would be more happy to be with a male artist. I have also found that most men artist are much better on being kind to a woman.

To me it doesnt really matter. Although I only have had guys do tattoo work on me I would like to have Kat that used to be on Miami Ink do some work on me too

I rather have a man.Im unsure of why this is.But your right when you say its about being a good artist because i got my tattoos from two different male artists and well the first one i like the tattoo for the most part but there are things i would change about it.My second one i love with everything i got.But there are different things that factor into being a good artist.

I don't think it matters as long as they are good, The first couple of tatt's I had done was by a guy and the last two I had done was by a woman and to be honest the woman was a hell of a lot better than the first guy I had do my tattoo's so from now on I think I'll be going back to her.

I feel more comfortable with a man tattooing me.
For the most part I think they might be more comforting to a woman getting a tattoo.

I have only ever had men tattoo me, but I really don't have any preference as to man or woman. As long as they have very good artwork & they are clean and professional in their work.

I have 5 or so shops around my area and i wish there was a female artist , as i would probably go and get some work from her ( if her work was up to scratch ) ............... But all the studios only have men , i think it would be a nice change to have a tattooist who is not a big burly hairy bloke ..

YEAH dicky i agree if the pain gets to much you could stare at her threppenny bits and hope to get a slight glimpse of a bit of cleave and maybe a cuddle after if youre in pain and a gentle stroke from her hand accross youre brow and maybe..........ooooooops sorry got carried away there Embarassed

it wouldnt bother me, so long as i knew the outcome was gna be good, and so long as i could see some of there work 1st hand and they was good, it wouldnt bother me to tell u the truth

well... neither yet....

but my first tat is 2 weeks away and its going to be done by a woman. to be honest, after talking with 6 or 7 artists she's the one who gave me the best vibes (and soon she'll me giving me a few more!), was the one who really listened to what i wanted and was happy to discuss ideas and i caught her one day thoroughly cleaning her studio. all good.

she's pretty cute aswell!
