Hello everyone. Looking to get my first tattoo. Been wanting a tat of a tiger for years. While I'm not sure of the exact design yet (head or full tiger), I'm pretty sure I want it on my calf.

What do you guys think about calf tattoos (on guys), and would you go for a tiger head or do you prefer the full body? (like in the picture)

Here's an example of what I was thinking. I'd want to go to a shop and have them design something a bit more specific to my tastes. Anyone have an idea on a ballpark price for design and the tat? I'm a big guy and have pretty thick calves. I'd want it to cover most of it. Obviously it varies on the shop, but kind of want an idea before I really start talking to shops.

My calves are all tattooed up in fact most of my lower legs are - its perfectly fine for a guy to have tattoos there

As far a the head vs the whole body the bigger the tattoo the more detail you can use - so perhaps just the head is best for that location
