I'll be having a cover up done next Saturday. Has anyone had one done? Were you satisfied with it? What were the circumstances that led you to cover it in the first place?
The tattoo I'm going to cover is a fleur de lis. It's a pretty tattoo, but I made a lot of bad choices in the process of getting it. First, I was intoxicated, but they tattooed me anyway (not a vote of confidence for New Orleans tattooists). Secondly, my (now) ex-boyfriend was with me when I got it as I was visiting him at the time. We had a pretty nasty break up and every time I look at it, I'm just reminded of the emotional mess that ensued. I'm not really interested in remembering our relationship and having to look at this tattoo for the rest of my life. I figured I would go ahead and get it covered and bury the relationship for good. My artist suggested I have it as a reminder to never lose my head over a guy again. I liked that sentiment. |
