Hey everyone!!

I'm looking for a legal tattoo, and by that I mean to do with the law and all that good stuff.

I've kinda fallen into a legal career that I love, and every time something major happens in my life I get a tattoo to commerate it so it seems like a good time to get some more work done.

I have a great artist that is willing to do a freebie tat while he'e here on holidays but he goes home TOMORROW!

I DO NOT want lady justice, scales, or a hammer....maybe the hammer when I become a judge Razz

Does anyone know anywhere that I can find such images? It's been a week of searching and I've found nothing that I like. I've even considered a tat of one of the old gods of law....but couldn't find much info in that regard in books or online.

If anyone has any inspiration I'd appreciate it - I don't want to copy someone else's - Rossie will draw whatever I want once I get some sort of idea cobbled together.

Hi Turko, welcome to the forum!

No real ideas here, but suggestions, especially since you are on a time-schedule.

Anytime I am looking for alternate ideas to express a word (law), I look at dictionary.com. If you put in Law at the top and then toggle between the different tabs, there might be something you like (especially look under the thesaurus, encyclopedia, and all reference tabs) - this always seems to help me go in a direction I hadn't thought of before. The encyclopedia tab has a lot of history of early law - perhaps that will give you an idea?

I also looked at wikipedia.com under law and it has a LOT of information there, too. There is a sketch towards the bottom of an old English lawyer in a white powdered wig that's kinda cool looking - maybe something like that?

Don't know about the dude in the wig though, that's how some in the legal profession have to dress here in Ireland so it'd be a bit weird....might bump into someone who looks like my tat Laughing

How about a cop car with flashing lights. But over the top of it put a set of hand cuffs. So this would make the handcuffs the main feature of it. You could even incorporate a badge in it somewhere.
