| The worst spot for me so far has been the collar bone and sternum , but the genital area may be worse ... |

this thread was started by a wind up but it seems to be taking off anyway...
midge, the inside of the tricep was nowhere near as bad as i'd been led to believe. i had a 3 hour session on mine and it was only the last half hour or so of shading that really began to bother me. having said that, i went back for a retouch recently and that hurt much more than the original sesh... maybe i just wasn't so pumped on adrenaline. |

Hey, New to this..
I had one done on my foot and it wasn't too bad to me
And then I had one done on my ribs and it wasn't too bad either
I was thinking about my wrist, but I'm not sure about the pain there. Does anything think that the wrists hurt a lot?
ps. to answer the question- I was told the ribs are the worst by the person that did my tattoo. |

| I only have one tattoo and that is on my inner wrist which is very large compared to most wrist tattoos. Everyone told me "Thats going to hurt, your brave". The tattoo artist even told me for a first tattoo it might be a bit painful, that scared me a little. My line of thinking is, if its your first tattoo you have nothing to compare it to, so go ahead and get it in the most painful spot you wont know if it hurts more in this place than the other. Personally my tattoo was easy didn't hurt a little discomfort but nothing unbearable and thats all it is anyway. I'm sure ribs and collar bone hurt a hell of a lot more however. I have friends with wrist tattoos some have cried some will never get another tattoo because of it, some think its simple like me. All tattoos are painful its just a question of how much. |

| I've got two, and by far, the one on my side was the worst.. specifically the floating rib at the bottom.... as one of the guys at the shop put it, its like going from a tattoo needle to a scalpel..... and up by my boob.... then it just felt like he was slowly sticking the needle in further into my skin... most of the rest was fine though! i can only imagine how those thin skinned places (crook of elbow, back of knee) would hurt... so props to you guys that have done it |

| Inside arm and inside thigh hurt the most because they're the most sensitive skin areas. Personally, I have 4 tattoos and my hips hurt the most (no surprise lol). |

| Can't speak from experience, but the guy who tattooed me said the sternum hurts a lot. He said his brother was tattooing the sternum of a fully grown man and the guy was nearly in tears. Apparently the ribs are very painful too. I haven't met anyone who's had their eye tattooed or anything like that. Personally, i've got the nape of my neck tattooed (not so painful) and a piece on my shoulder blade (more painful than my neck). |
