| Check with the shops in your area, they would be the best source. |

Speaking of which, I have a tat I want to cover; my first from years ago in the military.
My concern is the tattoo is mainly black ink and I'm wondering what color inks will cover black. I'm considering a nautical star with skull above, kind of pirate-y, but wa hoping from some input here before I go this July to start the process.
Thanks.
For whatever reason my image link doesn't show up in the finished post. The image is in my personal gallery though. |

soushift and Flogging_Murphy,
The best suggestion for you both is to go to the shop you would want to do the cover-up and see what they suggest. It's very hard to give you an idea of what can/can't be done without seeing it in person. The artist can work with you to find a design that can be done and that you'll be happy with.
Also, Flogging_Murphy - images are disabled from the main viewing, but if we click "quote" or "post reply" we can see them. I would think that your tattoo could be covered by a good artist.
Good luck to you both! I've had to do cover-ups and am so glad I did and now have something I like! |

Well, I've found what I want for a cover up (if possible). I'll leave out the banner and wording but the overall design is what I like. I hope it will work as a cover-up.

Nice! What parts are you from? If you're anywhere near me, I have someone I can recommend that has a lot of this type of style in his portfolio that you could look at.
