Hum ... I listen to just about everything except country ... just depends on my mood.
If I had to choose favorites they'd be:
Newer music: ALKALINE TRIO (I'd have to say my favorite group!)
Older music: Tom Petty & Led Zeppelin
Lately, for some reason I've been in some funky retro mood and have been listening to Janis Joplin (Big Brother & the Holding Company), Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, Joan Baez, Jefferson Airplane (all the J's)
... Not sure why, and it doesn't really go with what I normally listen to.
Go figure... |

| I've heard good things about Alkaline Trio -- what's their best song? |

| Depends on what you like. Most the A3 fans I know have completely different favorite songs. My favorite is "All on Black". Most of their songs are not mainstream - only a couple have been on the radio. Their style has evolved somewhat over the years... |

kornfannatic08, if you want to hear them, their new CD is loaded onto their myspace page right now. You can acces it at:
myspace.com/alkalinetrio
It's a little mild compared to their earlier work - if you're a korn fan, then you'd probably like their earlier stuff better. It was more rock/punk then - more emo now ... |

Alkaline Trio is definitely good stuff! Not typical punk rock.
As for me, I like metal (not 80's hair "metal"), hard-core, punk-rock but I do listen to a lot of other things as mood strikes me. |

Yea! Alkaline Trio's new CD comes out tomorrow (US)!!! I've already heard most of it and love the new stuff.
Jayster - yeah, I'm not into the 80's metal, but more of the type you describe. Besides Alkaline Trio, the "newer" stuff I like includes Dropkick Murphy's, Rancid, ATI, The Used, Empire Hideous, etc. Guess I'm not the typical 40+ type of girl - everytime I wear an Alkaline Trio or other t-shirt, people assume it's my daughters or something...ha! |

I picked it up today. Special edition at that
My lady wasn't feeling good so I sneaked out of work to buy her the CD as a little feel-better-present. |

Huge music fan/record collector here!
My favorite bands are Guided by Voices (greatest of all time), King Crimson (my username is one of their songs), The Beatles, The Who, The Misfits, and many more. |
