Tattoos I believe are very personal, wings can mean alot, like the abilty to get through hard times, to stand tall, fly away to freedom, or something along those lines. But like I said just because someone has wings doesnt mean that person wants their tattoo to mean that or it may mean something really different. If you get a tattoo it should be something that means something to you!

| Wings are a symbol of Mercury or Hermes, meaning swiftness, renaisance artists were the first to put them on the feet, the first pictures of Mercury had them on the back ala Angel and atop the Caduceus. Alot of girls just like the fairy thing though. |
