After having a small black tribal design on my left shoulder for 14 years, i decided i wanted a new 'better' design in it's place rather than move onto a new piece of skin, the guy at the tattoo shop said that maybe 2-3 laser treatments would be sufficient to fade it enough to do a good cover up, so i went and had my first treatment.
At first it felt like a very small elastic band being snapped against my skin, then after a few moments it started to sting and felt very similar to actually getting a tattoo. within 5-8 minutes it was finished. It was a bit red, burning and sore. I was told not to get it wet for a few days as it could develop scar tissue.
After 1 day, some very small bubbles/blisters appeared, which after i'd been to the gym on day 2, these had inevitably burst and the pockets removed left by what is now (day 4) very small scabs starting to form. The area is still slightly tender to touch but am just going to make surethat i leave it alone and let any scabs heal.
I have been told i can go back within 4-6 weeks for my next treatment.
Anyone else had a similar experience? |
