Hi Guys,
I am going to get my first tattoo very soon. Its something that Ive always wanted and I have a good idea of what I want.
However, as I am not all that good with a pencil I am struggling to get onto paper what I want from the tattoo. So this is me, on my knees begging for some help!!!!
My idea is to have a 80s/90's style hi fi graphic equaliser on my forearm, which symbolises both my love of music and that of technology...
So the idea is quite simple,. Im just wondering now what colours to use i.e. will green and red look good for this? also getting the whole thing so it looks just right has proved difficult for me so far. I have put up my ideas here: as you can see, they are rough at the moment!!!
Many thanks for reading this post, I would be very grateful if anyone has any ideas!

Thanks Again

Hi tony
I saw your idea on your link.
I think its not good imo.
Why not a realistic or real graphic equalizer images?
In black and grey or colour maybe?
Theres loads of images for you to look at here:

Hey, thanks for your reply artist!
Yeah, there are some good images there. black and grey you reckon? I will definatley bare that in mind.
Its difficult for me to know what will look good (for years to come too) so thanks for your feedback on that!
any other feed back would be appreciated!
Thanks again

Ive done a little more work on it, put some more ideas down.
here is my latest sheet of ideas:
As you can see, Im no artist- but Im trying!!
I think the bottom right is the closest to what I want. although I really want the thing to look alive. It seems a bit bland in black and greys.
maybe a 3d effect as if the equaliser is about to explode or some kind of electrified neon effect on some of the lines.
What do you think, any ideas out there??
Thanks all

| How about adding some small LED's in color? You might get a lot of questions though "What IS that?" from people not familiar with equalizers. |

| i like it like that - but then i love geeky, graphic style tattoos anyway. i would probably be tempted to make the greys darker but apart from that i think its cool... |

Hey guys, I thought I would let you know that I have now got the job done.
I gave my ideas to a tattoo artist in my hometown- Swansea, Wales UK and we came up with what I think is an awesome finished tattoo.
here we go if you are interested:
If anyone is in the area and is considering where to go for friendly advice/ good service check out the place i went to, state of art on St helens road.
Take care all |
